RACE DAY ACTIVITIES

• No admission fee!
• Live entertainment
• Demonstrations of ancient Chinese musical instruments
• Children's area with many activities including Chinese crafts, calligraphy, origami, face painting
• Chinese kite making and flying, as well as Chinese yoyo demonstrations for children of all ages!
• Boating safety demonstrations, and much more

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

• Anyone 16 or older can participate as a paddler
• Teams can consist of your friends, family, or co-workers
• No previous experience necessary - TRAINING AVAILABLE
• Great way to have fun and enjoy teamwork
• Also needed: individual paddlers to be deployed to teams that need one more paddler
• Each team receives a photo plaque, commemorative
  t-shirts for crew members, and coupons for lunch and beverages

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ENTER?

Teams can register for $2,000 OR a group can pay $1,000 per team and each member is committed to raise $50 or more in pledges to meet the $2,000 total. 

HOW DOES THE TRAINING WORK?

Participants must attend a one hour training session (in boat!) the week before the actual Dragon Boat Race day. We'll give you all the details when you contact us to register.

Please note: as part of your team training session, we'll train one of your team members to be your steersman, or we can assign an exerienced steersman to guide your boat the day of the festival.
